Selectmen Meeting Minutes –May, 23, 2005
Present: M. Genest, R. Haggett, and B. Pratt
Also in attendance: W. Prokop, S. Chatfield, J. Soullier
The selectmen opened the meeting at 8:00 P.M.
The selectmen approved the minutes of the May 9th. meeting.
The selectmen advised everyone that it will be another week or two until a final selection is made on the Police Chief.
The selectmen were advised that Test Borings have been ordered for Bryers Lane. It is now waiting for a written agreement from the association to allow borings to take place on their property.
The selectmen were advised by R. Haggett of the concerns of the Planning Board regarding the Lauber Planned Sub-division. This was discussed and a joint meeting will be held with the Planning Board in June if possible.
The selectmen were informed by the Town Administrator of the establishment of a new joint loss management committee. This committee will be chaired by J. Parsons our Health Officer. This will be part of our liability training and updates to our department standard operating procedures that are in the process of being up dated. A meeting for all Town employees will be held in the next 30-45 days.
R. Haggett than brought to the board a suggestion to establish “escrow funds” in which developers would be required to pay for engineering and other development fees. This will be discussed further with the planning board before being finalized by the selectmen.
The selectmen then reviewed various correspondences and signed the payroll for the week.
The next selectmen’s meeting will be June 20th at 7:00 P.M. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 PM.
